Christmas Mouse Decoration

I’m back for the holidays with a cute little project for you. This mouse decoration is great for Christmas or everyday. I made a mouse similar to this when I was a teenager and I kept it for years. I couldn’t resist remaking the project!

These mice are quite small and can be made from scraps of fabric and felt. When finished, the body of the mouse measures approximately 2.5 inches in length without the tail.

I used a pipe cleaner for the tail which is great for making fun shapes and swirls that add a dramatic look to the mouse. If you don’t have pipe cleaners, ribbon or yarn will also work.

For the filler, I used poly pellets for some of the mice and crushed walnut shells for others. Both worked great! The heavier filler helps the mice to sit securely on a flat surface.

While I love this decoration as an accent to holiday decor, you can easily change up the fabrics to make it fun for other days as well. Seeing a cute little mouse sitting on the corner of a desk or on a bookshelf is always fun 🙂

So, whether it’s for the holidays or just a bit of everyday cheer, I hope you’ll enjoy this quick little project!
