Needle Book

This is a cute fun little project. It is super fast to make, and handy to have around the sewing room, especially if you do a lot of hand sewing. These also make really cute gifts.

It doesn’t take much fabric, so it is a good way to use up your scrap fabric!

I love the little pockets. You can store thread, needle threaders, needle grips, and even tiny travel scissors.

This book measures approximately 3.5 x 2.625 inches when finished.

Supplies:

Scrap Cotton Fabric (or 1/4 yard)

Felt

12 – 14 inches of narrow ribbon (I used 1/4 inch wide)

Featherweight Fusible Interfacing (optional)

Cotton Batting (optional)

I’ve just made a needle book with my 7 year old granddaughter. She loves making things and we put this together quickly and easily. It was fun choosing the fabrics together and she helped measure everything up, I just did the machine sewing. Thank you so much for such a great tutorial. She’s now promised to keep her needles safely 🙂

This is so pretty, I think it would make a sweet gift for someone who enjoys sewing of any kind! Thank you for sharing. Your video was very clear about every step.

Thank you for this Needle Book pattern! I am going to make one for myself and one for my daughter-in-law who is a non-sewer and keeps her few basic sewing items in a plastic ziplock bag. I’m sure she will enjoy using this instead.
