I have had many questions about one of my favorite sewing tools, “That Purple Thang.” Which I often refer to as the Purple Thing.

This is a great tool! I originally purchased it as a turning tool, but I use it most often as a stiletto to help guide fabric through the sewing machine. I liked it so much that I purchased one for each of my sewing students to help protect against sewn fingers…and we haven’t had any since the purchase!!!

There are many uses for it! It protects your fingers, it can thread elastic through a casing, it is a great measurement tool, and it also helps with turning. I highly recommend it!
