There was an error on the Bottom Pocket Gusset piece. It should measure 12.75 inches in length. If you have downloaded the original pattern please make sure to take note of this change!

Does this fit a 8-1/2×11 paper notebook?

Thank you for your question! Unfortunately, an 8.5 x 11 inch notebook does not fit well in this backpack. Technically, you can squeeze it in if the bag is not too full, but I wouldn’t recommend it. The backpack is slightly more narrow than the notebook at the top and so the top corners of the notebook could get bent or damaged. Similarly, if you had a lot of items in the backpack it may not fit at all as you would have difficulty closing the zipper. Hope this helps!
