I was wondering if you would email me the written directions for your purple pocketed composition book cover? I don’t like to watch on utube cause I have to keep pausing it.
Thank you so much for your question. Unfortunately, I don’t have any written instructions for that project. I apologize for the inconvenience.
I made a written instruction sheet for my mother, who won’t make anything off a video, using your video. If you would like a copy, I can send it to you. My junkmail email account is gaelicdarkwater@gmail.com. I don’t check it often, but will try to check it a few times in the coming week in case you want the sheet.
I am glad you were able to make the project accessible to your mother. I hope she enjoys it! Thank you for offering to share your work with me 🙂
How much fabric does this comp cover take
Thank you for your question! It requires approximately 1/3 yard of main fabric, 1/3 yard of contrasting fabric, and 1/3 yard of interfacing.
I made the composition book cover with all the pencil pockets across the front. I was surprised at how easy it was to make, and it fit perfectly. As soon as my granddaughter saw it, she asked if she could have it. But a friend also saw it before it was claimed and later on, hinted that she wanted one. So I will be making one for her and I still want to make one for myself! Great directions. Love making along with the video. It’s hard for me to make any other way as long as the instructions are clear – and they are. Thank you!
I am so glad you enjoyed the project! Thank you for sharing!
Is it possible Todo it for a pocket planner ? With a back pocket and pens in the front ?
What a great idea 🙂 Yes, I would bet you could. You would just need to adjust the size and then construct the back panel as if it were a “front”.
Beautiful finished project and very well explained instructions in the video, thanks
Hello! I was wondering what the difficulty level is for the purple pocketed composition notebook cover? Thanks!
Hello! I would say that project is appropriate for an advanced beginner. The construction itself isn’t too hard, just rectangles and straight lines, but you do need to be able to keep an accurate seam allowance and cut precisely in order for it to fit correctly. Hope this helps!
my brain is trying to do the math/layout for the pocket cover but without using vinyl, so just a solid piece not needing the borders and I’m confusing myself. Any tips? Thank you for this design!
Hello! To make the zippered pocket without the window, I would cut a pocket piece of 11 x 6 3/4 inches (or 6 1/2 for snug fit). After attaching the zipper it should be the same size as the interior pocket piece. If it’s not, I would then trim the outside pocket to match the interior piece in size before sewing. I hope this helps 🙂
hello I would like to know to know if you would send me a detail instructions how to do this please
Hello! Unfortunately, I only have video instructions for this project. There are no written instructions. I’m so sorry. I hope the video is helpful to you!
